Professional Background

Before joining the New England Law faculty, Professor Caitlin M. Duane was a staff attorney at the Massachusetts Trial Court Virtual Court Service Center, where she provided legal information and procedural guidance to self-represented litigants throughout the Commonwealth. Earlier in her career, Caitlin was a senior staff attorney at Fenway Health, formerly known as AIDS Action Committee.  During her time with Fenway Health, Caitlin represented low-income individuals living with HIV/AIDS in civil legal services matters involving housing, public benefits, discrimination, medical privacy, and domestic violence.  Caitlin also received a post graduate fellowship from the Illinois Bar Foundation (IBF), the charitable arm of the Illinois State Bar Association, to work in DePaul’s Poverty Law Clinic for one year after graduating law school.
